The press is a general-purpose press with an exquisite structure. It has a wide range of uses and high production efficiency. This press can be widely used in cutting, punching, blanking, bending, riveting and forming processes. By applying strong pressure to the metal blank, the metal is plastically deformed and fractured, allowing it to be processed into parts. When the mechanical press is working, the motor drives the large pulley (usually twice the size of the flywheel) through the triangle belt, and drives the crank slider mechanism through the gear pair and clutch, making the slider and punch fall straight down . After the mechanical extrusion is completed, the slider will move upward, the clutch will automatically disengage, and the automatic device on the crankshaft will open to stop the slider near the top dead center.

The working mechanism of the press is driven by an electric motor through a transmission mechanism to apply processing force to the workpiece. The transmission mechanism is a reduction mechanism of belt drive and gear drive. The working mechanism is divided into screw mechanism, crank connecting rod mechanism and hydraulic cylinder.

There are three types of presses: screw presses, crank presses and hydraulic presses. Crank presses are also known as mechanical presses.

The screw press does not have a fixed bottom dead center. For larger die forgings, it can be formed by multiple blows, and it can be used for single, continuous blowing and inching. The impact force is related to the deformation of the workpiece. When the deformation is large, the impact force is small, and when the deformation is small (such as cold shock), the impact force is large. In these respects it is similar to a forging hammer. But its striking force is enclosed by the frame, so it works smoothly, and the vibration is much smaller than that of a forging hammer, and it does not require a large foundation.

The lower part of the press is equipped with a forging ejection device. The screw press has the functions of a die forging hammer, mechanical press and other forging presses. It is highly versatile and can be used for die forging, blanking, drawing and other processes. In addition, screw presses have a simple structure and are easy to manufacture, so they are widely used.
